A friend sent me this track in a mixtape for Christmas, and I just love it. Against the odds, I should add, since this isn’t the type of stuff I usually listen to. Anything that has Emily Haines’ sweet voice in it though and I’m sold.

Winter Wonderland (The Dirty Tees Remix) - Frank Sinatra

Not so much a remix as a completely new (and very electronic) song that heavily samples Sinatra. I don’t know what to make of this, but I guess a listen wouldn’t kill you.

How Come You Never Go There (Beck Remix) - Feist

Horns and hi-hats lend to Beck’s soulful chop of this song.

Midnight City (Who Killed JR? Remix) - M83

So yeah, the lead single from Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming has been remixed so many times that you’re probably tired of listening to that wonderfully catchy intro by now, but seriously, this remix is banging. Just, uh, ignore that really creepy screencap from the MV that’s sitting in the album art box…
